Study programmes

Project Coordinator: SMK College of Applied Sciences

Project partner: Student Representation of SMK College of Applied Sciences

The aim of the project is to investigate the practices of artificial intelligence use in the study process and to develop students’ abilities to apply AI responsibly, purposefully, and critically in the learning process.

Description

The project aims to explore the use of artificial intelligence in the study process and to strengthen students’ abilities to apply AI responsibly, critically, and creatively in learning. During the project, students’ experiences, needs, and challenges related to AI use in studies will be analyzed, and the results will be discussed within the academic community. Based on the research findings, practical guidelines for responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in studies will be developed. Practical workshops will also be organized to strengthen students’ abilities to use AI as a learning support tool and to encourage a critical approach to the use of technology. The project will result in improved student competencies for conscious and innovative use of artificial intelligence in the study process, as well as the creation of personalized learning solutions.

Project activities

  1. Student research on the use of AI in studies
  2. Analysis and summarization of research results
  3. Presentation of research findings
  4. Development of responsible AI use guidelines
  5. Practical workshops “AI as a Learning Assistant, Not a Tool for Cheating”
  6. “AI and Me” – creation of a personal learning algorithm

Expected project results

  1. A student study on AI use in studies will be conducted, collecting and summarizing data on the frequency of AI use, its purposes, challenges encountered, and perceived risks, enabling an objective assessment of the real situation in the study process.
  2. An analytical review will be prepared and dissemination of results ensured, identifying the main challenges and opportunities related to AI application in studies, while presenting the research findings at an international conference to encourage academic discussion on responsible AI use.
  3. Practical guidelines for responsible AI use for students will be developed, creating clear and applicable principles that help students use AI ethically, responsibly, and while maintaining academic quality.
  4. Practical workshops on responsible AI application will be implemented, where students will test AI tools for note-taking, idea generation, self-assessment, and reflection, strengthening their critical thinking and conscious AI use skills.
  5. Individual learning solutions with AI will be created, as students will develop personal AI learning profiles and learning contracts with AI, enhancing metacognitive awareness and a long-term responsible approach to technology use.
