News Paskelbta: 2025-04-18

Latest updates from SMK

In the latest episode of Tell Me More Podcast, Dariana, Head of International Admission at SMK College of Applied Sciences, sits down for a heartfelt conversation with two international students: Yuri from Brazil and Anastasiia from Ukraine. Both are studying Video Production and Media at SMK and share inspiring insights into their creative journeys and student experiences in Lithuania.

The conversation touches on how they discovered their passion for visual storytelling, what led them to choose SMK, and how the program helps shape their professional futures.

“When I was 14, I visited a commercial set, and the director told me: if you want to mix advertising with video production, start building your portfolio now,” shares Anastasiia. “That moment changed everything for me.”

“I always wanted to study something related to cinema or video. I was curious about this part of the world, so I just decided to come and experience it myself,” says Yuri about his journey from Brazil to Vilnius.

Both students emphasize the importance of being open, creative, and prepared to grow not only professionally but also personally.

“There’s no limit—you can start creating with just your phone. All you need is an idea and the courage to follow it,” Yuri adds.

Tune in to the full episode to hear more about their dreams, tips for aspiring students, and what it’s really like to study media in a vibrant, international environment like SMK.
