On May 21, 2026, SMK Higher Education Institution held its annual lecturer awards event, honoring lecturers who distinguished themselves through academic excellence, initiative, contribution to study quality, and recognition from students.

The winners were selected by an independent committee consisting of lecturers, students, and administration representatives. At the same time, students voted for their most loved lecturers across different study fields and cities. Nearly 700 students cast their votes this year.

Lecturers of the Year

Discipline of the Year: Agnė Juodžentytė

This year, Agnė Juodžentytė stood out for her exceptional diligence in administering her study subject, maintaining prompt communication with students, and ensuring a clear and consistent assessment system.

Scientific Breakthrough of the Year: Mehmet Recai Uygur

Throughout the year, Mehmet Recai Uygur prepared new publications, participated in scientific conferences, contributed to expert activities, and made a significant contribution to project-based initiatives.

Initiative of the Year: Alvyda Eigminienė

Alvyda Eigminienė organized the highest number of off-site lectures, invited guest speakers from various fields, strengthened the network of social partners, and actively involved students in activities outside SMK.

Study Quality Improvement Discovery of the Year: Aridonas Gasparavičius

Aridonas Gasparavičius comprehensively updated the study programme content and integrated new teaching methods and technological solutions into the learning process.
