SMK Introduces Online Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in English
Latest updates from SMK
A European Bachelor’s degree, practical skills and the freedom to study from wherever you are. SMK College of Applied Sciences is expanding its study opportunities by introducing online Bachelor’s degree programmes taught entirely in English. Applications for the Fall 2027 intake open on 10 October 2026.
SMK’s online study portfolio brings together some of today’s most relevant professional fields, including business, artificial intelligence, cyber security, marketing and creative media.
You can choose from five study programmes:
Future Business and Artificial Intelligence
Information and Cyber Security
Flexible Online Study Format
Online studying at SMK is designed to combine independence with meaningful interaction.
The study model includes two complementary forms of learning:
- Approximately 70–80% asynchronous learning: Students can access recorded lectures, digital study materials, practical cases and assignments, and organise much of their learning around their own schedules.
- Approximately 20–30% live online learning: Real-time sessions bring students and lecturers together for discussions, teamwork, practical activities, questions and immediate feedback.
This approach means that online learning is not simply watching recordings independently. Students remain connected to lecturers and classmates, participate in practical tasks and receive academic support through the virtual learning environment.
For students balancing employment, family responsibilities or other commitments, this model creates an opportunity to pursue higher education with greater flexibility while remaining actively involved in their studies.
Who Can Apply?
SMK’s online Bachelor’s degree programmes are designed for applicants who have completed secondary education and meet the academic and English language admission requirements.
Applicants must provide educational documents for qualification assessment, demonstrate the required level of English and successfully complete an online motivation interview.
Accepted English language qualifications include IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL 69+, FCE, LanguageCert IESOL B2+, PTE Academic 59+ or Duolingo English Test 110+. Applicants who do not hold an accepted certificate may take the internal SMK English language test for €50.
Additional requirements may apply depending on the applicant’s country of education and chosen programme. Applicants to Video Production and Media must also complete an entrance assessment that includes a portfolio evaluation.
