Dear SMK Students

Considering the pandemic situation, the Lithuanian Government has declared  full quarantine in the territory of Lithuania from March 13 to April 27 (or a separate notice). Therefore, the teaching process at SMK is moved to the E-environment.

During this critical situation our main priority is the safety of our students, teachers and staff.  For that reason, in order to minimize possible threats, we are adopting possible measures recommended by WHO and the Lithuanian Government.

Once again we want to emphasize  that even though the quarantine is in effect, the study process CONTINUES and is implemented through our e-learning platform. The whole SMK staff are working regular hours from home and are available online and on telephone. All consultations about internships, final theses are also conducted virtually. The heads of study programmes, lecturers are consulting students on the SMK Moodle system, as well as by e-mail or any other convenient way of distance communication.

We are constantly monitoring the current situation in local universities, as well as in universities worldwide and following all guidelines given by the Lithuanian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport so that we could react immediately to the changes of the situation.

Again, we ask the whole SMK academic community to be responsible, follow the recommendations and take measures to protect their  own health, as well as the health of others.

If you have any questions or would like to share your concerns please e-mail us at  kornelija.gulbinskaite@smk.lt.

Let us be responsible and protect ourselves and others !
